Thanks for the replies. I have a follow-on questions. What's the deal with Stonyford OHV? I looked at the park map and it seems like the whole area around the lake is part of the OHV including the roads and everything. It appears the official trails are the actual roads and intended for motorcycles and AVTs only. I can't see how to get to the lake without going on OHV trails.

OHV vehicles are restricted to the trails. Lots of "No OHV Beyond this point" signs. The main road is always open, but they close the OHV trails if there is to much rain. The OHV trails only cross the road. They are not part of the main M-10

Many of the trails are jeep worthy too. Just have to share them with the dirt biker/ATV'ers. Maybe we need to do a Letts Lake run this spring?

100°-105° this weekend in the Valley. Sounds like a great weekend for camping. Friday Saturday Sunday at Letts Lake. I can't wait. Work has been a bitch

It was a great weekend up in the mountains. The lake was cold and really cooled you off for a few hours. All the camp sites were full but had good camping neighbors. Went jeeping behind Mill Valley camp through the burned out trees.
