When you mount tires on any wheel, they have a certain direction they are supposed to go on and off from, that's why the drop in the center of the rim is offset. That drop allows the bead on the opposite side you're prying on to move over towards the side being pried, and lets it be stretched over the edge of the rim. The birddogs have an extra deep and offset drop in them, so deep that they could only put little tiny holes in the center of them. The point of that is to make it extremely easy to dismount and repair a tire on the trail. I've mounted two sets of tires on them and all I have is two 24" tire bars, but with the birddogs I usually use just one. They are by far the easiest wheels I've ever changed

I like these wheels. I have put them on my list of potential wheel choices when I eventually ditch the ones I have.

I got the eaton beadlocks. Theyre heavy at 33lbs but i was able to get the backspacing i needed.
Tire + wheel will be 95lbs each corner. We shall see how long my cromo 44 and super 30 hold up

I got the 4.5 because I don't like my tires sticking out any farther than they need to. With 33's I had to make a very slight adjustment to one of the steering stops to keep a tire off the control arm, but not enough to make any difference in turning radius
