Just a tip, no wheels are dot approved, and there is no dot criteria at all pertaining to the wheels of non commercial vehicles.

Been reading a lot about these dirt trac beadlocks and what ive learned is that the wheels are made thinner to cut weigh for perfomance. They are also meant to be a crunch fuse on a dirt trac racer because they are cheap and easy replacable.

They can be used on a jeep for crawling but will be weaker than a traditional crawler beadlock and they have half the outer ring bolts (18) than say an allied beadlock wheel (32) which make the lock ring prone to deformation caused by offroad abuse as well as less bolts holding your tire on the wheel while on the highway.

Being that i need cheep wheels with a specific backspace i might give them a go but im gonna shop around for a week to see if i can get a set of allied or raceline steel beadlocks for under 200$ a wheel.

Another thing i discovered is old style mtr 35's are 2lbs heavier than thier 37 big brother.

35x12.5 15 mtr 64lbs
37x12.5 15 mtr 62lbs

If you're looking for a rim that needs to work for the street and dirt, look at the interco birddog wheels. I've had them on my Jeep for quite awhile and can confirm that they have no problem holding at 4psi. They solve pretty much every problem that a traditional beadlock has with running on the road, and unlike most of the beadlocks out there, they hold both the inside and outside bead

If you want 37's anyway, have you considered recentered H1 wheels? Double beadlock for not a lot of cash, only drawback is the 16.5" size, but there's lots of 37x12.5R16.5 tires in this world.

H1's are too heavy and id never buy 16.5 tires

Those birdogs are legit at 22lbs. But the eatons are 45$ cheaper a wheel, although they 10lbs heavier.

I like beadlocks because i can mount and balance them so easily

I've mounted two sets of tires on the birddogs. They have an extra deep drop in the center to make it easy to shove the rim to the side and pull the bead over, that's why the holes in the rim are so small
