Anyone use the craftsman 1/2" drive composite impact? My impact took a dump so I bought the craftsman. Can't afford 279$ for the ir impact I want and got a killer deal on the craftsman. They claim 400ft/lbs at 125psi but my snap on mag impact broke the hammer drum after I shaved the air chamber and it was rated at 350. I feel like if I bought a harbor freight impact I might beat myself to death with it outta disappointment. I hope the craftsman does better than that

I only have a 1/4 drive impact ratchet that is Craftsman. It has worked really well for two or three years though. Sorry I am not any real help.

I smacked my old one on the garage floor and it came back to life so I've got a backup. 400ft/lb gun and a 600

Cool "IT's ALIVE!!!" Let me know what you think of the craftsman it is more my price range as well. When I could afford it I was only able to get one IR tool it's a 3/8 ratchet. That thing is great but it will break your wrist if you aren't careful.

For the 49$ it's a great tool so far. Zipped my control arm bolts right off

Good to know. I always look for the sales, it just seems as if the only time I find them with what I want I don't have any money. Last year Sears put a set of Gear Wrenches on sale. It was a set of both standard and metric for $50. Well that was half price and you know I actually had the money that time. I love those things! Another great tool if you can. I have been told that it is well worth getting the actual Gear Wrench brand though. FYI

Yep I understand, I really need a set of stubby wrenches (preferably the Gear Wrenches).
