He'll be fine on the D44/HP30. Some chromo shafts, sleeve/gusset the HP30 and no problem for 35's. He just needs better brakes. Banks has a turbo now for thd 4.0L. A turbo matched up with his stroker motor, yeah! Kick ass!

My next mod is going to be brakes and then tummy tuck next year. Then I'll invest in some CV shafts. I think that is where I will stop ... As far as suspension/tire size goes ... Lol.
35's should be able to go thru almost anything with some "fun". my todo list in order:
1. Brakes (next few months).
2. Rear bumper with a tire carrier, matching spare and CV shafts (beginning of next year). At this point, I should be able handle Rubicon and Moab.
3. Tummy tuck, MC control arms all around, super short SYE and custom drive shafts (both - front one has too many miles) ( summer 2014).
4. MC fenders and skid plates all around (hopefully end of 2014).
That should make it a "fun" Jeep that I shouldn't have to worry about too much.
On a side note: I thought HP30 is stronger than LP30 because of reverse cut gears?

Yes, I too thought the HP30 was stronger, at least the R&P was. When you say cv shafts, are you talking about the RCV's for front D30?
