Mesh Tops..... Yeah or Neah?

Thinking of getting a mesh bikini top as a shade cover for the front seats. Already have a full soft top and a safari top. But on camping trips where I pile a lot of light, bulky gear on the my YJ, the safari top can get in the way over the rear cargo area.

So, mesh tops? Do they provide enough shade to be worth it? Less noise than a conventional canvas bikini top? Prone to ripping with trail brush? More of an "open air" feeling like with no top at all?

Any experience, opinions, or even BS tall tales?

I have the Spiderweb Shade on my TJ and I love that thing! Blocks 60% of the UV's, and yet still gives you the open air feel. Goes on in minutes, and you can actually keep it on and still put your soft top up. Mine is a safari length, but they make a bikini version too. It cuts down on wind noisy at freeway speeds too.

I have the same one and loved it on my TJ, now it's on my Willys. They are far quieter than canvas bikini tops and can stay on under your soft or hard tops

Left a Contact message on their web site, just got a cupla questions before I order one. The head room *looks* a little lower than a traditional windshield mounted bikini top. I sit high in my heep, and rubbing a top with my head would get irritating.

The spiderweb shades are the way to go! I have had mine for a few months and a few 500+ mile trips and it is doing great!
