Mesh Tops..... Yeah or Neah?

I made a mesh top for mine an it honestly feels cooler than my bikini does and doesn't pop like the bikini either. I haven't got a burn on my head or neck since making it but I'm not saying it can't happen. I don't burn easy anyway but when I do it's bad.

I have had a VDP KoolBreeze mesh full top for about 5 years and love it! Cuts the sun but still gives an open air ride. Mine mounts on the windshield channel though so it can't remain on with my soft top. Has faded from the sun but still strong and durable - no snags or rips from trees either.

I have a spiderwebshade for my JKU and love it. It's all I run during the summer.

Thanks for the additional posts. Only question I have is about head room. The TJKini looks like it rides at the centerline of the windshield crossbars. The other type of mesh tops that use the windshield channel as a front mounting point and the top of the main bar as a rear mounting point seem to have more headroom.

Just don't want to sit hunched over to avoid the shade rubbing the top of my head all the time.

I didn't have a problem in
my TJ, it's a little lower than the normal top but not bad

After driving around with the top off for the last couple weeks, I put the Safari Top on. It felt ..... claustrophobic!

That, and the pic by bluelist, pretty much answered my final doubts ... Gunna order me one o' deese-here newfangled Spidy-Shady's this week.
