Packed the fam in the tj and headed to Tahoe for the weekend. We hit Mormon immagrant trail Saturday afternoon. It was jam packed with people. it was hard to find a spot to call our own. Didn't take me long to catch the rangers attention but he was cool. There was about a foot of snow but every road had been traveled so no breakin trail but great weather and sledding. We then headed into south lake to get dinner then settled into our tiny 100$ hotel room. Sunday we went to tahoma and wheeled towards the caddilac hill side of the rubicon trail. Big snow! Some spots were 3ft deep. I had to drop to 10psi and lock up Afew times. No trail breaking but one could easily sink goin uphill. Didn't see another rig from 10am until 2pm. Weather was hot! I got sunburnt. We left around 3, got some food in Tahoe city then headed to eagle lakes rd and the entrance to fordyce. The traffic jam stole Afew hours from us and we got to the !fordyce trailhead after dark. I ran into a guy I met at the same place last year which was cool. Not much snow left at fordyce. We wheeled in until we felt traffic had died down then headed home. We didn't go farther than an hour into any trails cause we had our. 1 year old but got into some really good snow in tahoma.
500 miles later and I can't wait to go back.
