Mine have a piece of rubber between the sliders and the body, when I pulled them off to rebuild them the paint underneath looked perfect. I've read quite a bit about it and it doesn't seem like one way is better than the other. Since it was already there, I put the rubber back in my sliders, but when I did my corner armor I didn't do any sort of sealing and bolted them straight on. That's the way Genright recommended it
2006 Rubicon, stock engine #2, stock transmission, stock T-case, stock axles, stock gears, stock diffs, springier springs, couple of random holes drilled, bits of scrap metal welded on with some junkyard parts thrown in for good measure.
