First motorcycle

Well, I just passed the California Motorcycle Safety Program. Just need to go to the DMV and take the written test. I am in the market for a good bike to hone my skills on. Looking for a cruiser of some sort, not really a fan of sport bikes. Any suggestions on what to look for?

Awesome! have had bikes all my life. If I had to pick one, a dual sport would be it.

I second Scot .... I have also ridden motorcycles most my life. If I were to by a motorcycle now....I would go with the dual sport.
